Pierre has been competing in triathlons since 2005. Initially a competitive cyclist in the late 80’s, he took on running in 2000 and swimming in 2005. Putting it all together was giving him a wonderful way to stay active. Most triathlon distance includes 1.5km of swim, 40km of bike and a 10km run. Last year Pierre completed a half Ironman in the USA, which included 1.8km of swim, 90km of bike and a 21km run.
Someday a full Ironman is on his bucket list. Also last year, Pierre completed in his first marathon in New York City. Inspiration comes from his wife and kids, who are also active. His wife has run 11 marathons and many half marathons. She is also a triathlete like her husband. His children, 18 and 15, are currently training for there first 10km run. Pierre will always include some type of activity in his day-to-day life…. Live life to the fullest!!!
